Cut the Rope DX

Cut the Rope DX is a decompilation of the original Windows version of Cut the Rope, which adds some improvements and new content, offering a much more polished experience. Aside from these new additions, however, the project will feel very familiar to anyone who has played any version of this classic ZeptoLab puzzle game, originally released exclusively for iOS in 2010.

Just unzip and start playing

You don't need to install anything to start playing Cut the Rope DX. Just unzip the contents of the compressed file into the same folder and double-click on the "CutTheRope-DX.exe" executable. Your saved games will be stored within that same folder automatically, so you won't have to worry about losing your progress. On top of that, the entire game takes up less than 500 MB.

Feed the cute Om Nom

Cut the Rope DX's mechanics are just the same as in the original game. Your objective in each level will be to feed a candy to Om Nom, attempting to get the three stars scattered around the setting along the way. To do this, you have to use the mouse to cut ropes, pop bubbles, blow up balloons, and so on. You'll need to rack your brains to figure out exactly what you need to do to beat the level, and then good reflexes to successfully carry out what you planned.

My experience with Cut the Rope DX

I first played Cut the Rope when it came out back in 2010 on my brand-new iPod Touch. I thought the game was a riot back then, and I still think so today, more than 15 years later. This version of the game also introduces new boxes (with more than 20 levels in each one) and fixes some of the bugs that were seen in the official versions.

The best and worst of Cut the Rope DX

• What I like most about Cut the Rope DX is that it has 17 boxes, each with 25 levels, for a total of 425 different levels.

• What I like least about Cut the Rope DX is that the first levels are very easy. From the second box onward, things improve quite a bit.
